Margaret and I were invited to a Zoom presentation for members of the Southern Oregon Region of the Jane Austen Society of North America.
When hosts and I chat beforehand, I always ask whether their audience prefer readings from the book, or a question-and-answer session, or a mix. She said that nearly everyone had finished reading A Life of Her Own, so they wanted to ask questions.
Their questions were thoughtful and stimulating, and the accolades for Margaret’s book were overwhelming.
Some of the members raved about details for Margaret in the story that I hadn’t noticed. When readers find gems that the author didn’t recognize, it’s magic.
